Patsy Barnes 82 of Tyler, Texas passed away Saturday morning, May 1. Patsy was born February 15, 1928 in County Line, Okla to Leonard and Annie Wooten.

She married L.W. Doug Barnes in 1948 . Patsy and Doug moved to Gainesville in 1953 where Doug went into business with his father and uncle operating Barnes Bros.Well Service.

Patsy and Doug loved Gainesville and enjoyed Leopard football games, traveling and playing golf together. Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dearly loved anything that involved her family and found joy in the time she spent with them. Patsy moved to Tyler, Tx in 2003 after 50 years in Gainesville to be near family.

She is survived by daughter Kathy Gandillon and her husband Chuck of Tyler, son Ike Barnes and his wife Margaret of Amarillo, Tx; Grand daughter Kristin Gandillon Hanks and her husband Wayne of Austin, Tx; grand daughter Andrea Barnes and her fiancé Rudy Trevino of San Antonio; Tx, grandson Dr. Collin Gandillon of Seaford, NY; grandson Christopher Barnes and his wife Ellen of Houston, Tx, grandson Clayton Barnes of College Station, Tx and great grand daughters Reese and Hayden Hanks of Austin, Tx.

She was preceded in death by Doug and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10am Wednesday, May 5 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Kenny Phelps officiating under the direction of Geo J. Carroll and Sons Funeral Home. Pall bearers will be Chuck Gandillon, Collin Gandillon, Christopher Barnes, Clayton Barnes, Wayne Hanks and Rudy Trevino. No visitation is planned.
