Memorial services for Daniel William Lantz, 59, of Gainesville, will be held privately.

Mr. Lantz passed away in Gainesville November 27, 2017. He was born at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA on November 2, 1958.

Danny spent 37 years of his life in the casino industry. The last 12 of which was spent at Winstar. He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing golf. He was an avid auto sports enthusiast, competing in numerous autocross events around Texas and Oklahoma.

Dan is survived by his son Steve Lantz of Gainesville; mother Patsy Koester of Utah; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Tom Lusk of Utah; brother and sister-in-law Dale and Kathy Lantz of Nevada; niece Marina and her husband Bob Cortopassi and Family of Utah; nephew Alton and his wife Katrina Lusk and Family of Colorado; nephew Nick and his wife Katie Lantz and family of Nevada; niece Lindsey Lantz and her husband Devin Tyler of Nevada. He is also survived by his beloved dog Chewy.

Mr. Lantz was preceded in death by his dad Richard Koester and his former wife Donna Lantz.
