Frank Adam Sandmann

Frank Adam Sandmann, 80, of Lindsay, Tx passed away at his home on September 1, 2021.

Frank was born September 10, 1940 to Frank C. Sandmann and Marie Beyer Sandmann in Gainesville, Texas.  Frank was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay and a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peter’s Society.  Frank worked as a carpenter for many years and farmed until he decided to make farming his full-time job.  Frank and his brother Donnie farmed many acres throughout the Lindsay area.

Frank was active in many church, community and local organizations.  He served as a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church parish council, finance council and was instrumental in building the Centennial Hall.  He served as president of the Red River Farm Coop and of the Lindsay School board.  In his youth he was a member of 4-H and was a supporter of the FFA when his children were in school.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lorine Sandmann, his son Rob Sandmann, his wife Jessica, his daughter Amy Whaley and husband Steve Whaley and two grandsons Tyler Whaley and Luke Sandmann, his brother Donnie Sandmann, wife Linda and his sister Barbara Schon.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents: Frank C. and Marie Sandmann, brothers Henry and Charles and brother-in-law, Jimmy Schon.

A rosary and visitation will be held at Geo. J Carroll & Son funeral home Friday September 3, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church in Lindsay Saturday September 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tatyrek officiating.

Pallbearers are: Glenn Beyer, Gary Beyer, Clifford Sicking, Ronnie Sandmann, Nick Sandmann and Ryan Schon.
