Eugene Miller

Gravedside services for Eugene " Sunny" Miller 81, are set for Friday January 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son funeral home with the Reverend Glen Kersey officating. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 27, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Mr. Miller passed away on January 26, 2011 at the Renaissance Care Center.

Mr. Miller was born on November 27, 1929 in Cooke County to Earnest Eugene and Elfie Lillian Gibson Miller. Eugene married Wilma Jean on April 17, 1951 . Mr. Miller served in the U. S. Army and was a truck driver for over 30 years employed by Gulf Oil. Eugene served on the Valley View City Council and loved to hunt , fish and really enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle .

Eugene is survived by his son Darrell and his wife Lori of Valley View, daughters Pam Cope and her husband Jim Howser of Pottsboro, Gayla Wolf of Valley View and Linda Blessing of San Antonio Tx. Also nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a sister Billie Dyer of Valley View and sisters in law Fleta Jane Miller and Margaret Williams both of Valley View.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma Jane Miller, two brothers James Miller and Lynn Dale " Buzzy" Miller and son in law Larry Wolf .Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County. You may sign the on line registry at geojcarroll.com
