Treva Ione Richardson Trigg

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother. She died peacefully at 12:57 am on January 30, 2011 at the age of 73 at the North Texas Medical Center due to complications related to cancer that she fought so valiantly the last four years. She was born on July 7, 1937 in Gainesville, TX. Her final days were filled with comforting and supportive words from countless numbers of family and friends. She passed quietly while holding the hand of her husband of 53 years, Jerry W. Trigg Sr..

Treva is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Trigg Sr. and her children Lisa J. Trigg, Jerry W. Trigg Jr., Judith F. Radford, and Wendell R. Trigg. She is also survived by grandchildren Aaron C. Radford, Brittany L. Kunetka, Cameron S. Radford, Michael Ramsey, Jerry Trigg III, Lisa E. Trigg, Dylan Robertson, Trevor Trigg, Kirsten Trigg, Skyler Trigg, and many great grandchildren. She is survived by a brother Tommy Richardson, sisters Nell Nolan and Mary Jo Thompson, brother in law Billy Poe, sisters in law Wilma Richardson, Char Poe, and Eleni Armeniades, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Treva was preceeded in death by her parents John and Lyndel Penton Richardson, brothers Dan Richardson and Johnny Roy Richardson, brothers in law Jim Nolan and Sam Thompson, and sisters in law Faye Dlaba, Judy Judge, Betty Richardson, and Willie Mae Richardson.

Treva was a caring, giving, devoted, and loving women who would do anything for anyone at any time. She always had a smile on her face, even throughout her final years when she was battling a host of illnesses. She will be sorely missed in this world, but a true asset in her new world.

Her viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral service with the Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating, will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Methodist Church in Rosston at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Rosston Cemetery followed by a visitation with family and friends at the Ross-Point Community Center.
