Wilma Helen Berthelot

Memorial services for Wilma Berthelot, 90, of Gainesville, are set for Friday, February 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Lake Kiowa Lodge with the Rev. Don Yeager officiating.

Wilma was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 27, 1920 to Cecil and Marie Kline Taylor. Wilma married Byron "Smoke" Berthelot on August 17, 1946 in Amarillo, TX and was a homemaker. She was an avid reader of fiction and enjoyed displaying her creativity with drawing and painting. Her friends and family treasured her paintings of Native Americans and her painting of Geronimo now hangs in the Southwest Room of the Lake Kiowa Lodge. She passed away January 29, 2011 in Gainesville.

Wilma is survived by her son Martin of Lewisville, daughter Christine of Boulder, CO., and granchildren Greg, Scott, Travis, and Casey.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 8, 2010.
