Oleta S. Kelley

Graveside services for Oleta S. Kelley 94, of Gainesville are set for Tuesday February 8, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Loewen officating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 8, 2011 from 1: 00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m at the funeral Home.

Oleta was born on December 21, 1916 in Collinsville, Tx to James D. and Fannie Shields Smith. She passed away on February 6, 2011 in Gainesville Tx. She married Leon ( Jack ) Kelley on Nov. 5, 1960 in Fort Worth Tx. They resided in Fort Worth until 2002, moving to Gainesville to be near her grandaughter and great grandchildren. Oleta spent her early years entertaining, hosting church Socials and volunteering at the New Life School ( for unwed mothers) in Fort Worth. She was a beautician at Vernon"s Beauty Salon in Fort Worth for years before retiring. She loved spending time with her family, vacationing, gardening and being a homemaker.

Oleta is survived by two grandaughters Kim and her husband Kevin Hellinger and Melissa Boroweic, daughter Jackie and her husband David Goins, two sons Glenn and Michael Kelley. Great grandchildren Kristin and her husband Cody Martindale, Kyle Hellinger, Sterling King and Crayle Boroweic. Also a great great grandaughter Pressly Martindale and daughter in law Patricia King and special friend Irvin Rue.

Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her parents , husband Jack Kelley, sister Violet Etter, son Don King and great grandaughter Ryleigh Boroweic. you may sign the on line registry at geojcarroll.com.
