Funeral Services for Peggy Lillard Fogle, 75, of Mesquite, formerly of Gainesville, are set for 2:30 pm Sunday April 3, 2011 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Carroll and Rev. Mark Loewen officiating, with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday April 2, 2011 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.
Peggy was born in Gainesville on October 17, 1935 to George W. and Julia Newton Lillard. She died March 31, 2011 in Mesquite after a courageous battle with cancer.
She married Dan Fogle Jr. in 1953, they had five children and made their home in Marshall, TX, later moving to Longview, TX.
She worked for many years at the Thiokol Army Ammo Plant where she became the first female foreman the company had ever had. She then went to work at Eastman Kodak in Longview until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the Eastridge Park Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law Candy and Flash Harris of Mesquite; grandsons John Fenlaw, David Fenlaw, Dusty Fenlaw, and Chance Harris; granddaughters Andrea Fogle, and Kristen Fogle; great granddaughter Haley Fenlaw; great grandson Kinzey Fogle; brother and sister in law Doug and Doris Lillard; sister Marcelle Rogers; sister in law Janice Lillard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dearly loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children Dan Fogle; sons Bradley Fogle, Wade Fogle, Jim Fogle; daughter Julie Fenlaw; brothers J.W. Lillard, Archie Lillard, and Kenneth Lillard; sisters Irene Bryant, Delsie Lillard, and Betty Duke.
