Funeral Services for Larry Moody, 61, of Callisburg, are set for 2:00 pm Wednesday April 20, 2011 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm Thursday April 21, 2011 at Fairview cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma with the Rev Tim Sumner officiating, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Larry was born on February 27, 1950 in Vinita, OK to Leonard and Mary Charrington Moody. He passed away on Sunday April 17, 2011 at his residence. Larry moved to Pryor, OK as a child and graduated from Pryor High School. After graduation, he joined the US Navy for 8 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Lonestar Transport in December 2010 as a recruiting manager. His favorite pastime was riding his Harley. He had an amazing sense of humor, always ready with a joke or funny story. Larry could light up a room by just walking in.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Doty Moody of Callisburg; daughter and son in law Melissa and Rodney Cross of Batesville, AR; daughter and son in law Renee and Kevin McFarland of Sand Springs, OK; daughter and son in law Tina and Billy White; stepdaughter Laura Keatley of Denison, TX; stepdaughter Ashley Doty of Arlington, TX; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; sister and brother in law Jackie and Brad Bluejacket of Afton, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son Jason Moody.

Honorary pallbearers will be A. J. Beyer, Larry Stewart, Mike Kelley, Jeff Cooney, Butch Burnette, Mike Gifford, and Justin Stewart.
