Juhree Davenport

Funeral services for Juhree Davenport age 87, formely of Gainesville are set for Monday May 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Don Yeager officating with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. Mrs Davenport passed away on April 29, 2011 in Dallas Tx after a short bout with cancer.

Juhree was born on March 29th, 1924 in Lawton Oklahoma to Pete and Edna Fenema. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma she married Howard S. Davenport on December 23, 1945. Howard and Juhree moved to Gainesville in 1953 were Howard established his medical practice. She was involved in many social and civic organizations. Juhree was a resident of Gainesville for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and son Craig. Juhree is survived by her daughters Deby Merriman and her husband Jerry and Dana Nichols and her husband Tim of Dallas Tx. Four grandchildren Craig Merriman, Paige Vincent, Chris Nichols and Kelly Delafield. She is also survived by five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
