Mary Lou Strength

Graveside services for Mary Lou Henson Strength, 95, of Oklahoma City, OK, formerly of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 pm Thursday May 5, 2011 at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jessie Francis and Rev. James Ayers officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Wednesday May 4, 2011 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at the funeral home.

Mary Lou was born in Matagorda on August 31, 1915. She passed away on May 1, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK. She married Gus C. Strength in 1932 and spent most of her married life in Cooke County. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son Gus Strength, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, and a daughter Mary Frances Knapper of Tecumseh, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
