VIRIGINIA ROBESON



A graveside service for Virginia Robeson, 71, of Gainesville, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2011 in the Era Cemetery with Pastors Terry Dowling and Duke Dowling officiating.



A visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.



Mrs. Robeson died May 12, 2011 in Sherman.



Virginia was born January 4, 1940 in Montague to Hillis and Beulah Lea Phares Popejoy.



Mrs. Robeson is survived by her daughter Jewel Hodges of Las Cruces, NM; daughter Jeanie Matthews of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Geraldine Hewlett of Valley View; daughter Cathy Blazek of Whitesboro; daughter Marylyn Dowling of Gainesville; daughter Wanda Jill Green of Keota, OK; son Walter William (Jack) Robeson, Jr. of Rusk; brother Johnny Popejoy of Gainesville; brother Virgil Popejoy of Burkburnett; sister Beatrice Langston of Garland. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.



Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
