LINDSAY — Funeral Mass for Vivian Kasparek, 83, of Lindsay will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Peter’s Centennial Hall in Lindsay with Fr. Raymond McDaniel offficating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kasparek passed away on May 11, 2011 in Corinth.
Vivian was born on Aug. 22, 1927 in Gainesville to John and Catherine Corcoran. She married Domin “Doc” Kasparek on Nov. 18, 1953. They were blessed with two children, John Dominic and Doris Elaine. Vivian lived in the Gainesville area most of her life working in various clerical positions as well as being a homemaker. Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, reading and coin collecting. She was very talented in crocheting and gardening.
Vivian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Peggy Kasparek; grandsons, Ryan Kasparek and his wife Stacie, and Adam Kasparek; granddaughter, Lori Murfin and her husband Rory; sisters, Helen Metzler and her husband Bud, Charlotte Zwinggi, and Linda Brown and her husband Tom; sister-in-law Rita Corcoran; and numerous neices and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Domin Kasparek; daughter, Doris Kasparek; sister, Doris DeRossett; and brothers, Harold Corcoran and Tom Corcoran.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., this evening, May 13, 2011 with visitation to follow in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie DeRossett, John Corcoran, Mike Metzler, Karl Metzler, Stan Zwinggi and Lamar Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Corcoran, Patrick Corcoran, Chris Metzler, Jeff Metzler, Brad Metzler and Steven Zwinggi.
