Frances Parrish

Memorial services for Frances Carol Parrish, 73, of Gainesville are to be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family with receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home preceding the service. Ms. Parrish died May 29, 2011 at North Texas Medical Center. She was born August 17, 1937 in Wilson, Oklahoma to J.T. and Lorene Frost. Ms. Parrish was a member of First Baptist Church in Gainesville. After graduating from Gainesville High School in 1955, she earned a Business Degree from Cooke County College in 1985. Following a longtime career as a waitress at the Hitchin’ Post and Golden Corral, she retired from the Texas Travel Bureau in 2005. She was an avid bowler and reader. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Parrish. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Diane and Mick White; brothers James Frost of Obrien, Tx and Mike Frost of Muenster, Tx; and granddaughter Kelly Parrish.
