Thelma Truitt

Funeral services for Thelma Truitt 78, of Gainesville are set for Saturday July 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Shady Grove Congregational Methodist Church with the Reverend Lonnie Dotson officating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday July 29, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..at the funeral home. Mrs. Truitt passed away on July 26, 2011 at her residence.

Thelma was born on June 1, 1933 in Mt. Springs to Raymond and Leona Riddel Dotson. She was a member of the Shady Grove Congregational Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons Douglas and Gary Truitt, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brothers Lonnie Dotson, Clyde Dotson and Oneil Dotson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Truitt, son Gale Truitt, brother Linual Dotson, sisters Drucilla Collier, Tassie Woody and Joanna Dotson.
