Funeral Services for Joseph R. Ingram, 88, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 am Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 pm Monday, August 15, 2011 at the funeral home.

Joseph was born on January 7, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK to Earl Frank and Lillian Wescott Lewis Ingram. He passed away on August 13, 2011 in Sherman.

Joe worked 37 years with Halliburton in Jacksboro, Houston, and Gainesville. He worked 12 years for the Gainesville Foundry. He was also a farmer and rancher in the Dye community and a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was a member of the Gainesville chapter 1123 Eastern Star, a 50 year member of the Gainesville Lodge 210, and 25 year member of the Scottish Rite Masons. Joe served in the Army during the Korean Conflict as a combat engineer.

Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years Loyce of Gainesville; son Joesph R. Ingram Jr. and his wife Sarah of Humble; son Harold Mower and his wife Laura of Richmond; son Jerry Mower and his wife Tina of Jacksboro; grandchildren Joseph Ingram III, Kelly Mower and his wife Kate, Krista Mower, Heather Mower, Jason Mower and his wife Jamie; great grandchildren Mace and McCoy Mower; brother Don Ingram and his wife Ann of Elgin, OK; brother Parker Ingram and his wife Mary Ann of Fletcher, OK; brother Francis Ingram and his wife Thomasine of Carnegie, OK; and sister in law Pat Ingram of Marlow, OK.

Joe was preceded in death by his son Bill Ingram; grandchildren Josh Mower and Rachel Ingram; brothers David Ingram and Frank Ingram.
