Eva Cheista McCutchen left to be with the Lord on August 31, 2011. Graveside service for Eva McCutchen 86, of Gainesville are set for Saturday September 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Reverend Mike Spencer of the Denton Bible Church officating under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday September 2, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eva was born on November 3, 1924 in Logan County Oklahoma near Guthrie to Plez Coenelius and Minnie Lea Elston. She married George Keese McCutchon on June 16, 1948 in Sherman Texas and they were married for 57 years. A longtime resident of Gainesville she is survived by a daughter and son in law Keleen and Sammy Nichols of Gainesville, grandson Nick Nichols of West Hartford Conn., Nanette Pappas of Aurora Colo. Jan Leddon of Alba Tex. A son Gary Keese McCutchen of Bridgecreek Oklahoma, grandson Cody McCutchen of Panama City Fla., Kyler McCutchen of Bridgecreek Oklahoma, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Eva was preceded in death by her husband George Keese McCutchen, four brothers Earl, Chester, Lee and Alfred Elston , three sisters Mabel LaRue, Velma Eubanks and Faye Waller and granddaughter Babette Kaye Nichols. Pallbearers will be Cody McCutchen, Kyler McCutchen, Lucas Smallwood and Patrick Ledden. Eva was a great lady whose compssionate ways touched so many lives and will be sorely missed.
