Elizabeth Anne Bailey

January 10, 1950 — October 3, 2011

Elizabeth Anne Bailey, Mother of 3, Grandmother to 4, and friend to many died on October 3rd in Denton, Tx after a long contested battle with Cancer. She was 61.

Beth, as she was known, was born January 10,1950 and grew up Elizabeth Anne Shea in Gainesville, TX. just north of the DFW metroplex. She was the daughter of Dr. John Daniel & Irma Shea. She graduated Gainesville High School in 1968 and later settled in Denton, TX to attend The University of North Texas as a Music major.

Ms. Bailey's love for others and her family can hardly be placed in words. Always constant, she leaves a legacy as a woman that was kind, cared for others and really cherished the relationships she carried through life. She was trusting, humble and always compassionate. Beth was best known for these qualities along with her commitment to her grandchildren and the happiness she took from being in their lives. Ms. Bailey also took great joy in being an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who's loyalty never wavered regardless of the condition of the team or season they were having.

One of Ms. Baileys final joys shared with her family was her developing relationship with Christ and her recent Baptism at Temple Baptist church in Flower Mound. She took great comfort in knowing there was ultimately a better place waiting at the other end of the journey she was traveling.

Ms. Bailey is survived by her children Andy and Jennifer, her brother Dan, and of course her 4 granddaughters Cheyenne, Madison, Ashley and Molly.

The Geo J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home at 602 Lindsay St. Gainesville, TX has been entrusted with all final arrangements for Ms. Bailey and Memorial gifts can be sent directly to this location. Her viewing will be held Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am followed by a full service at Gainesville's Fairview Cemetery at 701 Fair Ave. All friends and family are welcome and encouraged to attend.
