Charles Baker Davidson

Charles B. Davidson, 85, died at home on the family farm in the Hays community where he was born and which will be in the family 100 years in 2012. He was born March 20, 1926, to W.F. and Sophronia Davidson. He graduated from Gainesville High School. After returning from the Army, he married Alice Siegmund on September 18, 1953, in Denton. He was a farmer and worked at AMPI in Muenster for 26 years and Enderby Gas in Gainesville for 10 years.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The family will receive friends at the farm on Tuesday evening.
Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice; daughters Becky Felderhoff and husband Tom of Muenster, Barbie Davidson of Sadler and friend Marty Wozniak, Pat Gilliland and husband Gene of Norman, Okla., Kathy Brorsen and husband Wade of Stillwater, Okla., and Amy Davidson of Perry, Okla.; son Mike Davidson and wife Elaine of Greenwood, Ark.; grandchildren Emily and Brian Hoffman, Danny and Brandi Felderhoff, Diana and Josh Gorrell, Kurt Brorsen, Russell and Joslin Brorsen, Rose Brorsen, and Jennifer, Laura, and Angela Davidson; great-grandchildren Ami and Heidi Hoffman, Madison Felderhoff and Banks Brorsen; sister Amma Belle Snow, brother-in-law Bill Roe and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ella Frances Roe and grandson Ryan Davidson.
He was a longtime member of Whaley Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Whaley United Methodist Church or Home Hospice of Cooke County.
