Ola was on January 5, 1916 in Gainesville to Herschel and Eva Jane Barber Harper. She passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation in Gainesville.
She was baptized into the Catholic Church in 1948. The light of her life was her son, Kenneth L. King, a graduate of West Point Military Academy. She married Louis Roberg and moved to Muenster. Many knew and respected her in Muenster, as she ran the the dress factory for many years and later opened up The Hut, a clothing shop. After open heart surgery in 1972, she retired and took up golf. Her first hole-in-one was in 1977! SHe literally built her own house in Nocona Hills and lived there many years before returning to Gainesville to help build her son's home. She lived at the Turner Apartments and the Wheeler House with the second love of her life, her dog Salvador. In the final years of her life, Norbert Roessner and Joy Harper Bryant, her niece, blessed her with their love and support; she loved them as she would her own children.
Ola is survived by her granddaughter Kim King Bradley and her husband Allen Bradley; her great-grandchildren Michelle and Trevor; and her daughter-in-law Kaye Briscoe King.
Ola was preceded in death by her husband Louis Roberg; her son Kenneth L. King; and a great-grandson Kenneth L. King Jr.
