Glenn Sweet

Graveside services for Glenn W. Sweet, 78, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in the Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Paul Carpenter officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.



Mr. Sweet died November 20, 2011 in Gainesville.



Glenn was born April 13, 1933 in Seminole, OK to Ernest and Dora Lawson Sweet. He was passionately dedicated to helping children through the efforts of the Shriners Hospital. He was also a Master Mason for over 50 years. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.



Mr. Sweet is survived by his wife Maxine Sweet of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Cynthia Sweet; daughter and son –n-law Tammi and Steve Hughes; granddaughter Samantha and her husband Michael Nava; great grandchildren Zachary and Kyle.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
