Earl Belford

March 3, 1920 — January 12, 2012

EarlBelford went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012. He was born in Oklahoma and lived most of hislife in New Mexico and Texas. Earlserved his country as a U.S. Army radio operator in Iceland during World War II. Afterwards, he worked as an electrician andthen in airplane and automotive supply. Heowned a White’s Auto Store in Lovington, New Mexico, for over 20 years. A longtime resident of Lake Kiowa, Texas,Earl loved to fish, hunt, and play golf. He is survived by daughter Georgia Goad; granddaughter Nicole Nichols;stepsons Dave Hedman, Bruce Hedman, and Bryan Hedman; stepdaughter JulieMurphy; and many other family members, friends, and loved ones. Earl was a patient, kind, and loving husband,father, and grandfather. He was awonderful Christian example to remember, and his memory is truly a blessing tous all. The family will receive friends atthe Geo. J. Carroll Funeral Home, 602 Lindsay St., Gainesville, TX, from 4-6p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Servicesfor Earl will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012, at the samelocation. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.
