Gwendolyn Grove

Memorial Services for Gwendolyn Gardner Grove, 81, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 20, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, with the Rev. Don Yeager officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will follow the memorial service at the church.

Gwen was born on July 8, 1930 in Gainesville to Cecil and Jewel Flowers Gardner. She passed away on on January 15, 2012 in Denton.

She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church her entire life. She married Lloyd Howard Grove on May 29, 1965. They enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his passing in 2000.

She is survived by her son Steven Gardner Grove of Plano; son Howard Kelsey Grove and his wife Holly of Flower Mound; grandson Austin Cramer Grove; granddaughter Allyson Jakala; and granddaughter Sydney Ewell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
