Graveside service for Leamon L. Roberson 85, of Gainesville are set for Thursday February 2, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery with the Reverend Roslyn Eugster officating under he direction of he Geo. J. Carroll and Son funeral home. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 2, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. til 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Roberson passed away on January 31, 2012 in Gainesville.



Leamon was born on February 23, 1926 in Thackerville Ok. to Albert and Lulu Smith Roberson.Mr. Leamon served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a flight line plane mechanicworking on B-24 and B-25 and earned the following medals American Campaign, World War II Victory medal, Army of occupation medal, Honorable service lapel Button and the troop carrier movement in Italy medal.He then was transferred to the 7th Air Force. Leamon married Lois on February 2, 1945 and was married for 67 years. . They lived in crane Tx from 1959 til 1967 moving to Utah and living there from 1967 to 1985 and then retiring to Gainesville. Leamon worked for the Texas- New Mexico pipeline for 38 yrs as a master mechanic and retiring as area supervisor. He loved to hunt, fish and garden. He also loved his family and grandkids.



He is survived by his spouse Lois Roberson of Gainesville,Daughters Paula Parker and husband Wayne of Lubbock, Peggy Marish and husband Kim of gainesville and son Leamon Roberson Jr. and wife JoLynne of Blue Eye , Mo.. Brother Ray Roberson and wife Barbara of Thackerville Ok., sister Bernita Hayes of Ardmore Ok. Also 10 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and eleven great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons Cody, Zach and Clint Roberson, Marc, David and Josh Parker, Brian Jones Brian, Brandon and Ben Sizemore and Dakota Marish.
