A Celebration of Life for Robert “Bob” Chapman, 75, of Gainesville will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will follow.
Mr. Chapman died February 3, 2012 in Denton, TX. He was born March 1, 1936 in Boston, MA to Elva Lois Olson.
Bob was a Lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. He served in Korea with the Army Infantry Regiment. He was employed by Industrial Models, Inc. for the past eighteen years. His favorite pastime was visiting with his family. He enjoyed several hobbies: golfing, fishing, camping, sun and sand, and last but not least his new passion – riding his Harley-Davidson. Bob was a great but simple man that loved life and had a wonderful time living it.
Survivors include his son Rick L. Chapman of Gainesville; daughter Roberta “Sam” L. Chapman and James “Frog” Pillow of Antlers, OK; son Ronald L. Chapman of Gatesville, TX; daughter Reneé “Butch” L. O’Mara and husband Allen of Ft. Smith, AR; brother Barry F. Williamson of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Cory Chapman, Christopher Wade, Amanda Claxton, J-Bird Vernon, Reneé LaTrail Crudup, Justin Battles, Ryan Battles, Amber O’Mara, and John-Michael O’Mara; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his mother.
