Wanda Sue Wiley

Wanda Sue Wiley, 69, of Gainesville passed into eternal life in Heaven on Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home. She was born on January 14,1943 to Fannie (Skeans) Headrick and Lester Headrick of Gainesville.

Sue Headrick married Kelsey Wayne Wiley of Ft.Worth, Tx. on June 27, 1963 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Brother James Braswell officiating at the ceremony.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Fannie Headrick; her husband, Kelsey Wiley; and sisters Helen (Clark) Sisemore and Mary (Ellis) Simmons all of Gainesville.

Mrs. Wiley is survived by her son Mark Wayne Wiley and daughter-in- law Gina Wiley; two grandsons Jamie and John Evans of Gainesville; two sisters Nora Lee of Denton and Joan Monahan of Gainesville; two brothers Jerry Headrick of Gainesville and Lester Headrick of Midland and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue Wiley attended and graduated from Gainesville Independent School District. She worked for Tom Thumb as a florist from 1980- 1985 and won various awards as a florist for her creativity and hard work in this area. She also worked at Gainesville High School as a cafeteria technician where she enjoyed her work and co-workers immensely.

Sue was an amateur ventriloquist and performed at numerous Vacation Bible School, parties, and churches.

Sue was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Whitesboro.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Wiley is set for Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00am at the Central Baptist Church in Whitesboro. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be set at a later date in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Flowers and donations are welcome, but, in addition, as a memorial to her and countless others, please give to the American Cancer Society, Cancer Centers of America, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, or any other cancer foundation or organization.
