Donald Wayne Smith

A visitation celebrating the life of Donald Wayne Smith, 73, of Gainesville, is set for Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Donald was born on June 7, 1938 in Waco, TX to Albert Dean and Mary Zelkia Hill Smith. He passed away on March 11, 2012 in Gainesville.

Don retired from Enderby Gas and was employed by Tierra Properties.

He is survived by his wife Lee Smith of Gainesville; Son Jody Henson of Valley View; daughter Sandy Smith of Gainesville; son Donald Lee Smith of Gainesville; son Jimmy Green of Gainesville; daughter Anita Tatum of Lewisville; and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Don Smith Benefit at First State Bank in Gainesville to offset the cost of funeral expenses.
