A memorial service for Howard (Hank) Pyott, Jr., 82, of Lake Kiowa, will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Lake Kiowa Lodge.
Mr. Pyott passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 in Bonham.
Hank was born January 10, 1930 in Upper Darby, PA to Howard W. and Elizabeth Brown Pyott.
Mr. Pyott retired from the United States Air Force, where he was a Weather Observer/Meteorology Supervisor, receiving the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He attended worship at the Lake Kiowa Chapel and was also a lifetime member of the Air Force Aids Society. Mr. Pyott was very instrumental in establishing the first baseball/football field complexes in San Angelo, and was and was District Administrator for Little league in the 70’s. He was also a member of the Three Rivers Umpire’s association and umpired/refereed here and abroad for more than 50 years for baseball, softball, football, basketball and volleyball.
Hank is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy A. Pyott of Lake Kiowa; daughter Karen Vander Molen; son James Pyott & Kevin Pyott; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Pyott of Millville, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister Betty Jean Pyott.
