Victoria Kennedy-Rule

Victoria Ray Kennedy, 20, of Gainesville passed away earlyThursday morning at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches, Texas aftersustaining critical injuries in a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services for Victoria Kennedy -Rule 20, of Gainesville are set for Monday April 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Mike Burnett officating. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 15, from 5:00 til 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Victoria was born in Denton, Texas on March 19, 1992, to Tobyand Toni Kennedy. She also has one older sister, a younger sister, and twoyounger half brothers. She has a son, Luka Jay, who was born in August of 2011.

Victoria graduated from Gainesville High School in 2010. Shewas a member of the Electric Red Drill Team her junior and senior year, and wasan active member of choir all four years. Victoria was also a member of thecheerleading squad her freshman and sophomore year.

Victoria was a very compassionate young woman that neverhesitated to help her family and friends when she could. She was a lover ofanimals, and had a wide range of pets growing up.

Victoria was in Nacogdoches helping a friend move andvisiting her sister over Easter weekend when she was in a motor vehicleaccident that resulted in injuries that put her in ICU at Nacogdoches MemorialHospital for several days before she passed away from those injuries. Victoriawas also an organ donor, and after her passing many of her internal organs weredonated to individuals in need.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Luka Jay; hermother, Toni Kennedy, of Gainesville; her father and step-mother, Toby Kennedyand Kim Falconer, of Whitesboro; her grandmother, Margie Matthews, ofGainesville; her grandmother and grandfather, Mary and David Kennedy, ofWhitesboro; her sister, Maegan Kennedy, of Nacogdoches; and her sister andbrothers, Sabrina, Conner, and Cale Kennedy of Gainesville, and several otheraunts, uncles, and cousins from the north Texas area.
