Funeral Mass for James S. Hellinger 63, of Gainesville are set for Saturday April 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond McDaniel celebrant with burial to follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son funeral home. On Friday April 20, 2012 rosaries will be recited at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.with visitation to follow at the funeral home. James passed away on April 17, 2012 in Dallas ,Tx.



James was born on August 11, 1948 in Gainesville to Pete and Agnes Krebs Hellinger Sr. He served in the miltary during the Vietnam War. James married Clara Hess on October 9, 1971. James worked at Valenite for 25 years, Southland Paint for 10 years and then he was self employed in the landscaping buisness. He loved to hunt, fish, fixing anything, woodworking, gardening and especially being a husband, father and grandfather



James is survived by his wife Clara Hellinger, sons Garrett and his wife Julia Fleitman Hellinger, Samuel Hellinger, daughters Felica and her husband Alan Foster, Janelle and her husband Marshall Smith and Amanda and her husband Tommy Bonner, Grandchildren Taylor, Kendall and Peyton Reiter, Zachary and Tyler Smith, Christian Bonner and Cecila Hellinger. Brothers Pete Hellinger Jr. and Milfred Hellinger and sisters Mary Ann Tischler, Nelda Vicari, Janice Yosten and Joyce Yosten and numerous nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cooke County Home Hospice, St. Peter's Church restoration, Sacred Heart school fund, Subiaco Academy or the charity of your choice.
