Funeral services for Joe Goodman, 82, of Gainesville will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the funeral home.



Mr. Goodman passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Gainesville.



Joe was born October 24, 1929 in Hickory, OK to O.D. and Cora Helms Goodman.



Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Crawley Goodman; son and daughter-in-law David and Nita Goodman; son Donald Goodman; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Keith Newton; daughter and son-in-law Deanna and Chuck Watham; grandsons Brian Goodman, Jody Tharpe, Justin and Travis Harvey, Harold and Jamie Mullenhour; 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Zelpha and Charles Davenport; sister Wyvonne Hutchins; sister-in-law Irene Goodman; sister-in-law Jean Goodman; brother-in-law Bob Seward.



Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Julius, Stanley, Russell, and Carroll; sisters Maggie, Lucille, Helen, and Pauline; grandson Brent Goodman.



Pallbearers are Brian Goodman, Justin and Travis Harvey, Jody Carroll Smith, and Harold Mullenhour.



Honorary pallbearers are Brent Goodman and Jody Tharpe.
