George E. Watson

Graveside service for George E. Watson 81, of Callisburg will be held on Monday April 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Callisburg Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert Wright officating under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. . Mr. Watson passed on April 26, 2012 at River Valley Health and Rehab.



George was born on July 15, 1930 in Joy Texas to James and Delia Lucas Watson. He attended school at Joy and Midway. On February 14, 1954 he married Margaret Klein. They settled in Callisburg where they farmed and ranched for 58 years and raised three daughters Kathleen, Christine and Donna. Donna preceded him in death in 2000. He loved all animals and especially horses and specialized in raising registered Paint and Quarter Horses.



George is survived by his wife of 58 years Margaret Watson, daughters Kathleen Cravens of Callisburg, Christine and Ben Hutchins of St. Jo, grandchildren Rachel and Preston Price, Kevin Cravens, Eric and wife Tori Cornejo and Domonique Cornejo. He is also survived by five great grandchildren Carlyn, Jaxyn, Isaiah, Ezra and Carl. Also a sister Dale Peden and brother Ervin Watson. The family will serve as pallbearers.
