Brenda Corin Lewis

Funeral services for Brenda Corin Lewis, 69, of Richardson are scheduled for 7 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Plano, 3160 E Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074, with Rev. Jay Gibson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 PM prior to the service. A private family committal service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Era Cemetery in Era, TX under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Ms. Lewis died August 17, 2012 in Richardson. She was born January 7, 1943 in Gainesville, TX.


Brenda grew up in Gainesville and Cleburne and graduated from Cleburne High School. Brenda obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree in English from North Texas State University in Denton. She also had her teachers certificate and was a part-time teacher in Richardson ISD. She also worked as a real estate agent. In December 1986 Brenda was awarded Salesperson of the month for Page-A-Fone, where she worked for several years. Brenda was married to Jon M. Lewis for 37 years and they had 3 children.


Survivors include: daughter Vicki Burgess and husband Quinn; daughter Tiffani Lincoln and husband Dan; son Kevin Lewis and wife Ashley; 6 grandchildren whom she dearly loved including other family and friends.


Preceded in death by: son Eddie Cook; mother Carrie Ownby Butts; and father Jack Barnett.
