Leland (Lt) Tillman Grimes

Funeral services for Leland Tillman (LT) Grimes, 88, formerly of Gainesville are set for 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Grimes passed away on August 24, 2012 in Whitehouse.

LT was born July 21, 1924 in Kingston, OK to Roscoe W. and Edna Everett Grimes.

Mr. Grimes is survived by his wife of 67 years Marie Grimes of Tyler; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Danny Burris of Whitehouse; son and daughter–in-law Tom and Carma Grimes of Cedar Edge, CO; son and daughter-in-law Charles and Pam Grimes of Gainesville; 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews.

LT was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson Darin Grimes; daughter Donna Borden; his sister Owetta John; his brothers Harold, Wilburn, and Don Grimes.
