Doris Rosson

Funeral Services for Doris Rosson, 89, of Gainesville are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Rev. Frank Lorne and Rev. Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.


Mrs. Rosson died September 2, 2012 in Gainesville. She was born December 9, 1922 in Whitesboro, TX to W.G. and Lela Dozier.

"Nonnie" was happily married for over 70 years and was a longtime organist and member of Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.


Survivors include: husband Guy Rosson of Gainesville; son Nicky Rosson and wife Bonnie of Austin, TX; daughter Connie Hoberer and husband Larry of Gainesville; grandchildren Christy Rosson O’Dell, Cindy Rosson Hollandsworth, Brady Hoberer, Ryan Hoberer, and Gregory Rosson; great-grandchildren Landon O’Dell, Makenzie Hollandsworth, Blake Hollandsworth, Jolie Hoberer, and Race Hoberer.


Preceded in death by: her parents, sister Vera Usery, and brother Weldon Dozier.


Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.


Memorials may be made to Whaley United Methodist Church or Home Hospice of Cooke County.
