Virginia Bryant

Funeral services for Virginia Bryant, 79, of Gainesville, are set for 11:00 AM Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Rev. Bill Cathey officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 31 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.


Mrs. Bryant was born July 15, 1933 in Tioga. She went home to be with her Lord on October 29, 2012 in Wichita Falls.


Mrs. Bryant graduated from high school in Gainesville and married Glenn Bryant in 1950. She spent most of her adult life in northern New Mexico where she had a career as a banker. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant retired to Gainesville in 1992. In her free time Mrs. Bryant thoroughly enjoyed reading and crocheting. She also enjoyed volunteering as a Pink Lady at NTMC.


Survivors include: son, Tim Bryant and wife Lynn; son, Terry Bryant and wife Pat; daughter, Tresa Taylor and husband Butch; son, Travis Bryant and wife Cathy; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Survivors also include numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.


Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by: husband, Glenn Bryant; father, Eli Stewart Norris; mother, Florena Sellers Norris; brothers, Mansel and Johnny Norris; and sisters, Rena Norris Hutton and Barbara Norris Carter.

Memorials may be made to the NTMC Auxiliary, the "Pink Ladies".
