Shirley May Crowsey, 75, of Gainesville, passed away November 20, 2012 in Denton. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, November 24 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Bill Black officiating.
Mrs. Crowsey was born February 19, 1937 in Whitesboro to J.D. and Pearl Turner Williams. On May 5, 1956 she married Ancil Crowsey in Gainesville. Mr. Crowsey passed away October 29, 1984. Four years later on October 1, 1988, Mrs. Crowsey married J.W. Trisler in Gainesville. Mr. Trisler then passed away on January 1, 1998.
Mrs. Crowsey thoroughly enjoyed bird watching and volunteering with ABBA. She took great pleasure in spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Crowsey adored her church, Grand Avenue Baptist, where she was a member of the choir.
Survivors include: daughter, Tammi Crowsey of Sanger; daughter, Penny Tibbets and husband, Michael of Paris; son, Brad Crowsey and wife, Carmen of Whitesboro; daughter, Patti Knight and husband, Gary of Gainesville; grandchildren, Nicole McKinney, Blake Crutsinger, Madison Wimmer, Collin Hall, Parker Tibbets, Victoria Crowsey, Lundi Knight, and Alexandria Knight; great-grandchildren, Alyssa McKinney, Avery and Keller Crutsinger, Presley and Luke Wimmer, and Ashley and Ethan Hall; and sister, Betty Moody of Denton.
Mrs. Crowsey is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, A.J. Williams; sister, Billie Branch; brother, Sonny Williams; sister, Elsie Chilcoat; and grandson, Michael Knight.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ABBA and Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Gainesville.
