Arvil Gene Brackeen

Arvil Gene Brackeen is celebrating his new life in the presence of our Lord!! Arvil passed away peacefully at his home January 8th, 2013 at the age of 58.


He was born in Gainesville, Texas to Leeroy William Brackeen and Ruby Mae Pool. Arvil married Debra Lynn Cook on February 9th, 1995.


Arvil had a devoted love for God and his family. His favorite pastime was cooking and riding horses.

He is survived by his wife Debra Lynn Brackeen of 18 yrs; sons and daughter-in-law Bradlee Gene and Caroline Brackeen; sons Dwayne and Michael Langley; daughter Melissa Perkins; daughter and son-in-law Alicia and Faron McElhannon; mother Ruby Mae Brackeen; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Debra Brackeen; brother Jackie Brackeen; sister and brother-in-law Earlene and Dub Brackeen; sister Wanda Smith; sister Charlotte Brackeen; sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Clint Barker; sister and brother-in-law Amy and Rusty Mackey. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, his sister Laura Lee Brackeen and brother Darrel Brackeen.



A memorial celebration of Arvil’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Apostolic United Pentecostal Church, Hwy 82, ½ mile east of Hwy 377 in Whitesboro, with Pastor Kelly Gray officiating. A private visitation was held at the funeral home.
