James Thomas Farris

Funeral services for James T. Farris, 65, of Lake Kiowa, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 19, 2013 with Lee Henry officiating. Burial will follow in the New Resthaven Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.


Mr. Farris passed away on January 16, 2013 at Lake Kiowa.


James was born March 6, 1947 in Lubbock to Marion Hezekiah and Valree Sumpter Farris.


Mr. Farris married Carolyn Burton on May 29, 1970 in Lubbock. He always took pride in doing yard work. He was also a baseball fan and is a veteran of the US Army.


James is survived by his wife Carolyn Farris of Lake Kiowa; son Kevin Farris of Wichita, KS; son and daughter-in-law Keith and Stacey Farris of Lake Kiowa; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Lauren, Shelby, and Aiden Farris. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Don and Sandra Farris of Beaverton, OR and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


Mr. Farris is preceded in death by his parents.
