Elbert Leroy Greene

Funeral services for Elbert Leroy Greene 75, of Gainesville are set for Wednesday January 23, at 11:00 a.m. 2013 at at Harvey Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Jordon Johnson officating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 22, 2013 from 6:00- 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Leroy passed away on January 20, 2013 in Corinth Tx.



Leroy was born on September 22, 1937 in Marietta Ok. to Elbert Nelson and Dorthy Beautice Taylor Greene. Leroy was a machine operator for Ciby-Geigy Co. for over 15 years and was a member of the Harvey Street Baptist Church in Gainesville. Leroy loved children and he enjoyed music and singing.



Leroy is survived by a sister , Glennie DeLaney of Stephenville Tx and brothers K. R. " Jack " Greene of Gainesville,and J.D. Greene of Gainesville and numerous nephews and nieces. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mabel Mask, Lucille Neal and Ruth Bullard, brothers H.L. Greene, G.D. Greene and John Greene.
