Lois Estelle Mcdaniel Gilliland

Funeral services for Lois Estelle McDaniel Gilliland, 99, of Carrollton, formely of Gainesville, are set for Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Dr. Chuck Aaron officiating with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on February 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lois passed away on January 31, 2013 in Carrollton.

Lois was born on September 29, 1913 in Carrollton, Tx to William H. and Myrtle McDaniel. The family moved to Gainesville in 1915. Lois married J.A. Gilliland on November 17, 1933. They operated Gilliland Grocery and Market for over 40 years.

Lois is survived by a son John Dale Gilliland and his wife Jane of Huntington Beach, CA., daughters Donna Gilliland and Susan Wittwer and husband Fred, of Carrollton, Tx., Grandson John Richard Gilliland of Huntington Beach, CA, Granddaughter and husband Lisa and Thierry Mohn and their sons Ian and Eric of Kingwood, Tx., grandson Keith Maples of Carrollton, Tx, sister Wilma Martin of Marietta, Ok and brother, Dr. Wallace H. McDaniel and wife Leah of Spring, Tx.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Harold McDaniel and sister Margaret Wilson.
