Funeral Mass for Helen Ruth Otto Arendt 85, of Gainesville are set for Monday February 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Cruz officating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. A Rosary and Vigil service will be held on Sunday February 17, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home .Helen passed away on February 14, 2013 in Gainesville, Tx.

Helen was born on November 24, 1927 to William and Anna Reiter Otto in Muenster, Tx. and was a beautician for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gainesville.

Helen is survived by daughters Gayle Arendt and her husband William Galloway of Los Angles CA., Nancy Dawdy and her husband Garry of Denver, CO., Arlene Timmins and her husband Ronnie of Gainesville, Robbi Arendt and her husband David Donovan of Jersey City, New Jersey and Claudia Laster and her finance Robert Ledford of Gainesville and son Bill Arendt and his wife Val of Gainesville. also her grandchildren Chris and Geoff Dawdy, Darrel, G.W. and Teresa Timmins, Ginger Price, Emily, Erin, and Gabriel Arendt,Teresa McCarty, Melissa Scoggins, and Jessica and Rebecca Laster, 17, great grandchildren, brothers Herbert Otto and his wife Ruby of Arlington Tx, Ken Otto and his wife Pat of Tulsa, Okla. sisters Virginia Dougherty and her husband Wallace of Gainesville, Pat Schumacher and Jim of Plano, Tx and sister in law Evelyn Otto of Gainesville, also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
