Funeral services for Erle E. Kellogg, 77, of Irving, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Bro. Bill Black officiating. Burial will follow at Era Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral.
Mr. Kellogg passed away February 24, 2013 in Irving.
Mr. Kellogg was born October 12, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Eugene Warren and Mildred Kellogg. An exemplary student, he graduated Valedictorian from North Dallas High School in 1954. Soon after, Mr. Kellogg met Eva Scott and in 1962 they were married in Gainesville. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. Pursuing a career in Petroleum Engineering, Mr. Kellogg became a Registered Professional Petroleum Engineering Consultant at Huddleston & Co., Inc. in Houston, Texas. He retired from Huddleston in 1999 as Senior Vice-President. In his retirement, Mr. Kellogg was happiest when traveling with family and being engrossed in a good book.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Scott Kellogg of Irving; daughter, Carrie Kellogg of Irving; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Kellogg was predeceased by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Glenn Scott Scholarship at North Central Texas College.
