Curtis Allen Howell, Sr.

Curtis Allen Howell, Sr., 54, of Valley View, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Dallas V.A. Medical Center after a brief illness.

Curtis was born December 15, 1958 in Liberty, KY to Alvin and Grace Belden Howell. Curtis retired from the U.S. Army with 20 years of service and received many service medals and commendations during his service. He also was employed by ACME Trucking Company.


Curtis is survived by his family and friends Jennifer Howell, Billy Gray, Trenton and Trevor Cusumano, Dawn and Kenny Mayes, Trey and Amber Mayes, Kagan and Karson Mayes, Jorden Mayes, Addyson Mayes, Logan Mayes, Gail Bray, David Martin, Mitzi Martin Tessa Reynolds, Gerry Steidham and Nancy Hawes, Kayla Phelps, P J and Makayla Voelkel, Devin Whetzel, Taylor Boaz, Mikey Taylor, Shelby Ward and the employees of ACME Trucking Co.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and son, Curtis Howell, Jr.


Funeral services for Curtis will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel. Burial will follow in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Miltary Honors under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
