Ted Ellis

Funeral services for Ted ‘Murdock’ Ellis, 83, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Ellis passed away March 8, 2013 in Gainesville.

He was born February 13, 1930 in Gruver, TX to Floyd and Cornelia Ellis. On April 18, 1954, Mr. Ellis married Beedie Trimble in Gainesville. Mr. Ellis worked for Sante Fe Railroad for 65 years before retiring in 1992. He coached many ladies and girls softball teams, especially when his wife and daughter were playing. During his retirement, Mr. Ellis treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Survivors include: wife, Beetie Ellis of Gainesville; daughter, Cindy Galbreath of Allen; grandson, Chase Galbreath of Allen; granddaughter, Carli Galbreath of Austin; great-granddaughter, Kinley McIvor; and many cousins and friends in West Texas.
