Funeral service for Stewart Anderson Hughes 92, of Rosston are set for Saturday March 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rosston United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Kruger officating with burial to follow in the Rosston Cemetery with miltary honors The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Friday March 15,2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son funeral home.Mr. Hughes passed away on March 12, 2013 in Muenster Tx.

Stewart was born on January 13, 1921 in Brashear, Tx to Bernice Anderson and Anne Leora Stewart Hughes. He married Lula Christine Settle on June 2, 1951 in Ft. Worth, TX .Stewart retired from the United States Air Force and worked for the Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis MO., loved being a gentleman farmer raising vegetables, loved to read and watching sports of all kinds and most of all loved his family.

Stewart is survived by a son and daughter in law Thomas A. and Eileen Hughes of Granger, IN., grandchildren Maureen and her husband, Greg Bulgrin of St. Louis, Missouri, Michael and his wife, Sarah Hughes of Cincinnati, Ohio and Catherine Hughes of Chicago, Illinois great grandson Declan Douglas Bulgrin of St. Louis Missouri and sister, Rose Marie Jennings of Ft. Worth, TX Stewart was preceaded in death by his parents and his wife Lula Christine Hughes. Family will be pallbearers.
