Graveside services for Lillian Murphy Boles, 81, of Lake Kiowa, are scheduled for 12:00 noon on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville with Pr. Ben B. Gerald officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boles passed away April 6, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Lillian was born April 26, 1931 in Macon, IL to Chester F. and Emma I. Workman Cunningham. She attended school in Macon County, IL and lived the majority of her life there.
Mrs. Boles moved to Bedford in 1991 to be close to her children. It was then that she met and eventually married her husband, Bob, in 1995 in Fort Worth. Lillian and Bob moved to Lake Kiowa in 1996 after retiring from Abbott Labs in Irving.
Mrs. Boles was active in line dancing, Kiowa Women’s Club, and KWC Book Review until her illness. She loved people and her family, which was always apparent.
Survivors include: husband, Bob of Lake Kiowa; daughter, Jackie Hedenberg of Bedford; son, Ron Murphy and wife, Vicky of Hurst; son, Barry Sapp and wife, Marcia of Bedford; stepson, Marc Boles of New York City, NY; stepson, Alan Boles of Odessa, FL; stepdaughter, Vickie Swing of Westfield, IN; stepdaughter, Gayle Smith of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren: Brian, Phil, Wes, and Amanda; great-grandson, Tristian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boles was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jamie; and grandson, Eric.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Larry Sears; Tiffany and Kanina of Solaris Hospice; and Kimberly of Ray of Sunshine.
