Funeral services for Ruby Beryl Williams, 78, of Mountain Springs, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Gainesville Bible Church with Pr. Mark Wascom officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams passed away June 18, 2013 in Denton.
Mrs. Williams was born October 24, 1934 in Sophia, WV. It was in Sophia that she grew up and graduated high school. Mrs. Williams then began work for the FBI in Washington D.C. It was in Washington that she married Lynn Williams on January 25, 1958. Mr. and Mrs. Williams settled in Gainesville in 1962. They enjoyed traveling the world together, often frequenting Lake Tahoe, NV and Jackson Hole, WY. Mrs. Williams treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, teaching them and loving them. Mrs. Williams touched many lives – those that had the opportunity of knowing her knew of her genuine kindness.
Survivors include: husband, Lynn Williams of Mountain Springs; daughter, Mary Ann Foster and husband, Jim of Woodbine; daughter, Gail Brodersen and husband, Franz of Denton; daughter, Pati Akerman of Lisle, IL; daughter-in-law, Connie Williams of Valley View; son, Danny Williams and wife, Dawnita of Allen; grandchildren: Ryan, Ann-Marie, Nathan, Kyle, Amanda, Alex, Keli, Kris, Zac, Sergey, Jonathan, Jacob, and Victoria; great-grandchildren: Peyton and Kodi. Mrs. Williams is also survived by many beloved friends.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Williams.
