Peggie Joyce Lloyd

Peggie Joyce Harp Lloyd - loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend – went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the age of 74, after a long and courageous battle with an illness.

Peggie was born January 29, 1939 in Hale Center, TX to Leonard and Alma Harp. She married the love of her life, Dale Lloyd, on July 19, 1957 in Gainesville, TX.

She is survived by: husband, Dale Lloyd of Gainesville; son, David Lloyd and wife, Danea of Gainesville; daughter, Brenda Boykin and Claudia Knowles of Arlington; grandchildren: Mindy Boykin, Tawny and Cesar Rico, and Chloé Lloyd; great-grandchildren: Jaycé, Reece, Aiden, and Sofie; and brother, Jerry Harp of Killeen.

Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by her parents and youngest brother, Ronnie Harp.

A celebration of Peggie’s life is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Rev. Daniel Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
