Rebecca Laverne Thomas

Funeral services for Rebecca Laverne Thomas, 63, of Gainesville are set for 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Hillcrest Church of Christ, with Al Hill Officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Rebecca was born on November 23, 1949 in Gainesville to James Edward and Sylvia Sydney Brown Nicholson. She passed away on July 22, 2013 in Denton.

Rebecca is survived by daughter Dedra Hendricks of Savannah; daughter Tamera Nicholson of Gainesville; daughter Kimberly Randle of Tulsa, OK; son Marcus Thomas of Gainesville; twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Mauri Sadler of Dallas; aunt Velma Brown of Gainesville; aunt Cherry Nicholson of San Diego, CA; aunt Eva Mae Nicholson of San Francisco, CA; aunt Kathie Whiting of San Diego, CA; uncle Charles Nicholson of Oakland, CA; and uncle Eddie Nicholson of San Diego, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
